Stantec Tower - Global Headquarters
Stantec and ICE District Properties Joint Venture Stantec Tower, at 69-storeys in height (66 functional floors), Stantec Tower will be the tallest building west of Toronto and serves as one of the key pillars in Edmonton’s vibrant ICE District. The structure will house 29 floors of commercial workspace for Stantec’s 1,500 Edmonton-based employees and serve as their global headquarters. The building also has 483 premium condominium suites that include more than 20,000 square feet of premium amenity space.
This project was extremely schedule driven. Panel counts were set and monitored daily as to our progress to make sure we were on schedule. L29 and L67 had extremely tall panels at 5 meters and 5.5 meters in length. L29 was done in the freezing December weather (-25c) with blowing snow conditions during the evening. We worked in the evening to allow us the use of the tower crane for install without interrupting day to day work on the concrete and other scope work of the tower construction. It was very challenging for the team as the panels were large, and it was all done in the darkness of night.
